Today in class we went to the computer lab and tried out two new websites. We also learned how to use a t-chart in math. In the afternoon we painted warm and cool colour pictures. We also had gym and library.

Today in Class & Agenda

Today in class we looked at the Canada Food Guide and learned about the four different food groups and how many servings a day you should have. We also worked on some problem solving questions in Math. In Social Studies we looked at a map of Manitoba and did a map scavenger hunt.

Today in class we had art! We learned about warm and cool colours. There are three warm colours: red, yellow, and orange. There are also three cool colours: blue, purple, and green. We got to make a warm colour collage and a cool colour collage with tissue paper.

Today in Class & Agenda

Today we had a Thanksgiving Day assembly. We also worked on making three different attribute patterns: increasing, decreasing, and repeating. In Social Studies we continued to learn about the history of Manitoba. Did you know that Manitoba was covered by a large glacier that created all of our lakes? In the afternoon the Grade 4s had choir and the Grade 5s did calendar and placed number games in French. After recess we did the Daily 5. Our newest center during the Daily 5 is the Listening Center. Oh yeah, everyone was very excited to see the snow falling! Happy Thanksgiving Weekend Everyone!

Today in class the grade 5's went to choir to practice for the Thanksgiving Assembly that we are having on Friday. The grade 4's worked on getting caught up on math. After we started to learn about the history of Manitoba. In the afternoon we did Making Words and had gym and library. Today there is an early dismissal.

Today in class we went to the computer lab and typed out our bio-poems. We also went to gym and started learning how to Make Words. We pulled a stick out of the Star Jar. The name that we pulled out was Tanner's! Tanner will be our Star of the Week this week!
